Growing Your Photography Business (Part 6): Packages With Clear Descriptions, Share Valuable Content, Volunteer for a Non-Profit

Set Your Packages Up With Clear Descriptions

Package your photography services with clear and user-friendly details. For instance, put up a “Pricing” page on your website, position the highlights near the price, and briefly tell what makes each package different. Make these plain and straightforward.

Package descriptions should have the most requested information placed prominently. Think about your potential customer’s thoughts after they see your work. Use simple and easy-to-understand words or images. If your price will vary based on different factors, use “starts with {price}” instead of giving an exact figure.

Design your package so it will be easy for your target audience to compare. It should be simple for them to book you or ask for details. You’ll close the deal faster and save more time explaining the differences.

I’ve created a practically-informed Finance Sheet that can help you reach your financial goals.

Share Valuable Content Consistently

Sharing interesting information regularly and strategically builds brand loyalty over the long haul.

To be able to give something that’s considered valuable to your customer, always listen to your audience. Capture what’s in their hearts. Research what roadblocks are they facing. Seek what apprehensions come to their mind when they hear the word “photography session.” Learn to handle objections. It takes time, heart and art to catch both their conscious and subconscious needs.

Then, write captivating headlines that strike the balance between being clear and being emotionally-compelling. Invest time in brainstorming variations of your copy or working with a copywriter. Obtain a satisfactory featured image that will attract your ideal buyer persona.

Whether through email, video or social media, knowing your market’s needs by heart will enable you to share value consistently. If you share in different platforms, don’t share the same caption or content across. Take time in optimizing each content that suits the ideal presentation of each channel. Vary your posting types and times. Encourage people to share.

Volunteer for a Non-Profit

Give back to your community by offering photography services to a charity, foundation, non-profit or ministry.

Teaming up with a non-profit builds your brand, promotes healthy practices in your business, and of course, opens up business opportunities. Here you can simply let your “hustle” down and just let your eyes capture the beauty of the community.

Making people happy, supporting the poor, and helping causes for the common good opens you to see more meaning and purpose in life.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10. Even God’s Word proclaims that our chief purpose in life is reflecting goodness - an attribute that we inherited from the One who created us. If this is not in our calendar, then we’re simply missing out a great component of our reality.

Help others see greatness by shining the light of giving, value-sharing, and sacrifice.
