Baby Beau Nursery- Ashley HomeStore
It’s been a joy to partner with Ashley HomeStore to design baby Beau’s nursery! I’m so thankful because I remember how great it was to partner with them a few years ago on our bedroom after Joey and I got married.
We adore their furniture and we recently bought one of their couches. They have such quality items and they are just such a fantastic brand to work with.
I was so excited to collaborate with their design team. If you scroll down a little bit, you’ll see the layout that they designed. I got to do some conference calls with them. It was such an amazing experience to work with their designers to get different ideas.
I really wanted a modern look but still boyish. When we first started to design the room we didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl yet. So we did change some items in the end like the dresser. I can’t wait to see what you guys think.
I will also have some before and after reels to show the behind the scenes process. If you have any questions on items, or prices send them my way.
Feel free to shop the items in the graphic above on my liketoknow.it.
I hope you enjoy!
The Room Mock-Up
We came up with the following mock-up from our series of calls. This is what the design looked like before hand. It’s so neat to see the room come to life!
The Crib
I love the crib that we picked out below because it can be taken down, lowered, and it can be used as a toddler bed. You can even take off the front railings. It also has a little railing so when he is a toddler he can get in and out of the bed on his own. It’s so great because it can be used for a couple years.
The sign was made by my friend Lisa. - Lisa Potts Designs
Beau Sign
Joey and I thought it would be neat to have a big “Beau” sign. I was so happy when my friend Lisa surprised us with the Beau sign at our gender reveal. Our friend, James painted it white for us. It really gives a nice touch to the room!
Biblical Parenting Books
My friend Roxanne recommended that I get a book to journal throughout my pregnancy. This one is the Promptly Journal. It’s exciting because I can use the journal until Beau turns 18. Next to my journal, I set out my Parenting book by Paul David Tripp.
If you would like some recommendations about my biblical book collection, let me know below.
Nursery Corner
I keep all of the biblical books in the nursery corner.
Bunny Pictures
I wanted the nursery to have an animal theme, so I picked out these cute bunny pictures.
floor Lamp
I love the gold detail from this floor lamp. It hovers perfectly over the rocking chair.
Rocking Chair
I love how this little beaded pillow adds a nice touch of detail to the area. My friend Kelsey recommended the style of rocking chair below because it makes it easier to rock back and forth next to the ottoman.
Ottoman
The cool thing about this ottoman is that you can flip it into a tray and there is storage underneath.
Side Table
I’m going to store my pumping equipment, as well as, any other items I need on the go in the side table.
I really like this chair because it doesn’t have a recliner and it’s easier to rock back and forth. Not to mention it’s also super comfortable!
We love how the nursery has a more whitish, rustic look.
The Dresser
I love this dresser because it’s very tall and I don’t have to bend down to get anything. We have another Ashley HomeStore dresser in our bedroom that we love so much.
It’s a really high-quality piece. Ashley HomeStore’s dressers are my favorite because they are so sturdy, tall, and made out of awesome, thick material.
The Details
The gold mirror above the dresser is a nice added touch to the room. We have a little frame to add any pictures of Beau. I really love this whole view with the mirror because it creates a great accent to the whole room.
Bookshelf Cubby
I thought it would be a great idea to have a bookshelf cubby by the bed so Beau can grab his books. I also plan to store his onesies in the top left bin for when he goes to bed.
Joey found this cute, little Beau candle when we were on a trip with our friends. I also adore this little table lamp and cactus. I can’t wait to fill the cubby with even more books and toys after our baby shower!
The Reading Corner
This storage bench is great because I wanted to have a little reading section under the shelf. I made sure to put the nice decorative items on a high shelf to keep them out of Beau’s reach. I also love that this bench opens up so I can eventually use it for storage.
rug, baskets & floor pillow
The rug adds a nice, cozy touch. I also love how the baskets are not only used for storage, but they also add so much detail and texture to the area.
I thought it would also be fun to create an area in the corner with the floor pillow so we can read more on the floor and just really get into reading, cuddly time, and playing.
The Shelf
The little details go such a long way! I love these beautiful brown boxes, and succulents. Of course, I made sure to add a few more bible books.
Reading Corner View
Room View
What I love about these shots is that you can really see the whole design come to life. I hope you can enjoy them. Let me know if you guys have any questions on these.
We are so thankful to have this room done with Ashley HomeStore! If I could recommend one thing it would be to have the nursery done ahead of time. We’re about three months out from lord-willing having Beau and we’re super happy that our nursery is finished!
It feels so great to have Beau’s nursery done as we begin planning the baby shower, prepping for the hospital, and making decisions with the doctor/ pediatrician. Once the nursery is complete, you’ll have something to look forward to as you check off your list.
I hope you all were inspired by this amazing design we created with Ashley HomeStore!
