10 Baby Items I've Been Loving So Far
Joey and I have been loving this whole new world of parenthood. Since Beau's birth, there have been many products that I've been loving so far. I thought it would be great to share a few of my favorite items with you! Here are my top 10 baby products that I've been loving as a new mom:
1. Nursery Maternity Bras Bralette
I was looking for a nursing bra that was really comfortable and flexible with insertable pads. I found this one on Amazon. I tried a few other ones that didn't work. These Bras had such amazing reviews and I loved them. They come in 1 pack of three for such a great price. I got 2 packs for a total of 6 bras.
This cup is amazing! The main reason I got it was because I needed to be drinking a lot during labor. This is now my favorite cup that I bring everywhere. It's great because it helps me drink a lot of water while breastfeeding and on the go.
3. aden + anais Swaddle Blanket & Happiest Baby Swaddle
We love the aden + anais brand because their products are of such great quality. We use them to wrap up Beau at night when he is sleeping. We also got another type of swaddle that has velcro and a zipper so you don't have to learn how to do a swaddle wrap.
I love that this Diaper Bag has very durable material. It reminds me of a Lululemon quality. It's all black so I feel like I could throw it around without looking dirty. It comes with these hooks along the inside where you cannot only put it on your shoulder but you can also hook things on the inside of the bag. You can use the front pocket to pull out wipes.
Another great thing that we love and didn't realize until we had it, is that it comes with a changing mat. It's one of our favorites because it doesn't stain and its cushioned on the back. We also got a large size so it fits so much!
The Elvie Milk Catcher has been a game changer! A lot of people love the hatch, but it was not my favorite. What is great about this milk catcher is that we’ve been using it even more than the pump. The milk catcher has been very helpful because it protects him from drowning. We filled almost 2 cartons just from the milk catcher. The best part about it is that it can fit inside your bra, compared to the Haakaa which sticks out. I love that you can just have it in your bra, walk around and catch milk.
6. DockATot
The DockATot is amazing! We set it up on our couch and prop Beau up in it to sleep. He really loves it because it is super cushiony and comfy! It is also easy to clean because we can just change the outside if he ever spits up on it.
7. Bouncer
My friend Roxanne recommended this bouncer and it is one of my favorites. It is very lightweight, and you can pick it up easily. We have a two story house so it easy to move around. It also vibrates and rocks. Not only does it have so many great features, the price is unbelievable! There is an attachment on top where they can hit and play with the toys. You can also take it off and it can be just the seat. We put Beau in it everyday because he loves it so much.
8. Burp Cloths
These are great quality because they have a thick material and awesome little rivets on them. We go through so many burp cloths because he spits up a lot throughout the day. So we just throw them in the wash and they come out super nice and clean. They are very durable and great quality!
9. Sprout App
I researched so many different baby monitor apps online. I downloaded them, I signed up, I tried them, and it wasn’t worth it. My friend recommended the Sprout App. I did their free trial and I ended up paying for it because I loved it so much. It tracks my feeding so well.
The three things that I mainly track on it is:
All of my feedings (the time and the length): It lets me know when to feed him every two to three hours.
Amount of times his diaper needs to be changed.
Sleeping Cycles
It so amazing that I can do all of this with the click of a button. It is so easy! A crazy feature is that you can start a breast feeding timer just from saying, “Hey Siri”. On top of that, you can add important information like weight and any questions that you have for the doctor. So that way when you go to the doctor appointment you don’t forget. You can check them off whenever they answer the question.
10. Travel System
I love the PIPA™ Lite RX Lightweight Infant Car Seat and the Mockingbird Single-to-Double Stroller. The car seat is pretty pricey but it has all of the features that I love. Some of my favorite features include how lightweight it is, and the magnet settings for covering the baby. Instead of having to put a blanket over him, it has a built in cover with with magnets. The seat belt has magnets to keep it out of the way, so their arms don’t get tangled. The price for the Mockingbird is amazing for me. I really love not only the one click fold down but also that you can put two kids on it. It has the best features and its so smooth!
