LA Day 8: Roof Top Exploration "Jesus Saves Sign" / Flying Home

Exploring LA Day 8: Takeover of rooftop exploration to get "Jesus Saves Sign" & Flying Home

I took an Uber over to Hollywood where my to friends live: Greg and Geoff (they are twins btw)

I met them in college at SEU and it was great being able to see them and hang out with them again! We took the bus, then the subway to get to downtown LA from Hollywood. Public Transportation is no joke over there! Let's just say I'm glad I was traveling with them!

When we got to downtown LA, of course, we had to hit up a Starbucks!

From there we snuck up a roof top! Now thank God, Greg knew where he was going. When we got up there I photographed them and they photographed me in front of this beautiful "Jesus Saves" sign. On top of Ace Hotel.

Ace Hotel address:

 929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015

In a couple of blog posts back, I talked about how we got to the top of the Ace hotel and the sign was below us. It was too late at that point! The sun was setting and we couldn't get to another roof top to get a picture with it!

That's okay though because I got to go back and explore with Greg and Geoff.

In the beginning of the shoot, a security guard came up and told us we had to leave...... some other kids were up there shooting and paid the man off!!!!

I couldn't belive it on top of that they said we were with them, how funny! So we ended up shooting there for longer! Exploring, climbing. leaning off the side of a little! Posing, and teaching Greg how to shoot manual. It was so much fun! Look at Geoffs killing modeling skills on top of it lol!

From there we ate some food met up with Nadia to hang out for a little then she drove me to the airport! My six hours of fun in LA, last day memories went by like that! It was time to leave and I was so sad. Don't get me wrong I was very tried from the whole trip, I don't feel like I stopped once to breathe, but at the same time LA had my heart and I did not want to leave!

When I got dropped off I felt a little less nervous to go through the airport, that was a plus. There was a side of me that was just so sad it was all over. I felt like I belonged there in a way. I do believe that if that was God is calling me to, I will be there soon enough!

Ciao Los Angeles

Until next time, a city full of opportunities

As always pictures below!

Exploring LA Day 2:

I started my first full day in LA by surprising Taylor. (Side note: I ruined the surprise by posting it on social media. I thought I had blocked her but I missed one of my accounts and she saw it.)

Exploring LA Day 1

I'm doing something so unexpected and out of character…I'm flying out to LA

I got the call a month ago from my childhood best friend's boyfriend asking me to fly out to LA for her birthday. I said yes, not really thinking before I said it. It's Los Angeles I mean why wouldn't I want to go!

Marisa's mini shoot was awesome! Aside from living in Florida and having a billion bugs bite us. The shoot turned out great! I loved talking to Marisa and getting to know here! She is going to school to be a teacher! We need more great teachers within the school system!

Again here is another tropical beach shoot! I honestly can't get enough of them, and come on how beautiful is Marisa people!

I hope you enjoy the images!

Breaking News Alert: I have to tell the world how excited I am about these two getting Married!!!

Background: I have known Nichole for years. I met her at church when I was a little girl in youth group. She was a leader over me and I always looked up to her. As time went on, we became friends! The age gap between us started shrinking.

I went off to college but our friendship remained! While I was in college she met this guy named JAMES PAUL GOETKE. They feel in love and it was happily ever after the END!

Or... something like that lol. As their love story developed I was in college, so I saw bits and pieces of it. I'm telling you all of this because I was in and out while their love story was developing but now I get the amazing chance to spend almost EVERY DAY WITH THEM! In their cute little soon to be Home<3 (It is such a warm cozy safe place to be!)

I have learned so much from their relationship and can not wait to see what their Lord does in and through their marriage. As they choose to serve Him and honor Him, in everything they do. I feel like we look at marriage as a reward at times, instead of a ministry. These two remind me daily that Love IS A CHOICE, and that marriage is a MINISTRY!

I love you both sooooo much, and am so thankful I get to stand by your side Nicolle on your big day!

Cheers to their love story! I hope as you go through the images you can see their love for one another.

Ps. I LOVE when clients can be so vonerable front of the camera. There is nothing like capturing those hidden moments.
